The name of the Rottensteiner family originates from the red stone typical of the South Tyrolean region, porphyry. It's here that Hans Rottensteiner 50 years ago fulfilled the dream of producing his wine. The winery was born in 1956 and since then has become a family affair, from generation to generation, continuing until today to use the fruits of the 10 hectares of family vineyards, and the grapes of over 60 farmers in the area. An authentic and passionate production, which takes into account the typical features of the individual varieties, in particular those typical of the Bolzano area such as Lagrein and Santa Maddalena.

The Kitz white wine is a cuvée of three varieties, the Sauvignon whose scent is appreciated, the Pinot Blanc whose elegance is recognized, and the Pinot Gris whose character is evident. The wine ages in steel barrels to preserve the peculiar characteristics of the grapes and the aromas, which we recognize in their fullness at the first sip.
