The history of the Castellare di Castellina winery takes us back to the 70s, in the period of the Renaissance of Italian wine, when Paolo Panerai brings together 4 estates (Castellare, Caselle, San Niccolò, Le Case) to produce high quality wine. On the one hand, respect for the traditions of Chianti with the use of only native vines, such as Sangiovese, locally called Sangioveto. On the other hand, the introduction of innovative methodologies involving the University Research Institutes of the Universities of Milan and Florence, as well as the illustrious advice of oenologists of the caliber of Emile Peynaud, to whom the aging in barrique is due. It was thus, thanks also to the tireless Mezzadri, that a great winery was born, known today for producing wines of great quality.

I Sodi di San Niccolò 2017 Castellare di Castellina is a wine with an intense garnet red color, the nose opens with deep fruity hints of black cherries and plums, accompanied by warm spicy notes. In the mouth it is extremely soft and full, with a finish that brings back to black cherry and blueberry.
