It was the year 1890 when the Duke of Aosta, having arrived crossing the Alps, rushed to taste this magnificent wine that was already extremely celebrated in just 13 years and immediately fell in love with it, so much so that Ruffino was appointed the supplier of the Real Casa. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration, aided by pumping over, take place in thermo-controlled stainless steel vats for about 16 days. This wine ages for 24 months, 12 of which passed in French oak barrels and the rest in concrete tanks.

Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico Riserva produced by Tenute Ruffino, is a wine with a ruby ​​red color with garnet reflections, the nose has a complex aroma, with notes of amaretto and black cherries, with delicate hints that bring back to dark chocolate and a final note of leather. In the mouth it is harmonious and fruity, the complex finish leaves a strong memory of Sangiovese. The grapes come from owned vineyards and vineyards of carefully selected producers located in the Chianti Classico area, that is, between Siena and Florence. The soil on which they stand is clayey and calcareous, with a rich presence of marl, such as the Chiati Classico, and are located at an altitude from 290 to 450 meters above sea level. These features make it unique.
