Sassicaia

The Tenuta San Guido's Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC wine is produced only in a small area of Tuscany that houses the fine vineyards from which its grapes are born, all owned by Tenuta San Guido. The particular terroir that gives the wine its special organoleptic qualities has also influenced the choice of its name 'Sassicaia' become famous all over the world: the high stony content that distinguishes the 75 hectares of San Guido vineyard make the territory particularly dedicated to the production of such a fine wine. It is obtained with 85% of Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% of Cabernet Franc and ages 24 months in French oak barrels. It takes on an intense ruby red color that with aging tends to garnet; it unleashes a rich bouquet of fruity aromas and lies on the palate with harmony, elegance and remarkable structure.
