The Villa Montepaldi farm is a historical reality of Tuscan enology with its 9 centuries of history, and a glorious past linked to the farms where Lorenzo de 'Medici produced his wines. A 300-hectare estate on the hills of San Casciano in Vall di Pesa a few kilometers from Florence, in the Chianti Classico area with a high wine-growing vocation, since 1989 owned by the University of Florence, of which it supports the teaching. A company immersed in a postcard landscape made of vineyards, olive trees, arboretums and woods at 256 meters above sea level from which 200,000 bottles come out every year respecting the authentic and sustainable values ​​that characterize its historical identity.

The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione by Villa Montepaldi is obtained from Sangiovese grapes with a small addition of Colorino and Cabernete Franc. It is a red that ages in oak barrels for 30 months and in bottle for another 9 months, with a strong and elegant personality. Perfect in combination with meat dishes, cured meats and game in the best Tuscan tradition.
