Brunello di Montalcino

Corte dei Venti is a family farm whose origins date back to 1943, with the purchase by the Pieri family of the Piancornello farm in Montalcino. Silvana inherited it after the death of her maternal grandfather in the 80s, and this is how Corte dei Venti was born, today managed with her grandchildren and founded on generations of peasant culture. The vineyards extend over 5 hectares of hilly territory on clayey-calcareous soils and well exposed to the wind, hence the name of the company, which blows from the sea and facilitates the prolonged ripening of the grapes, ensuring an excellent harvest year by year. In addition to the vineyards, three hectares are dedicated to centuries-old olive trees that give a high quality oil, to seal an approach devoted to the care of the land and sustainability.

Brunello di Montalcino Corte dei Venti is produced from the best Sangiovese grapes from Piancornello vinified in purity. Fermentation is entrusted only to indigenous yeasts with maturation on the skins for three weeks. Then the wine ages 36 months in 20/25 hl Slovenian oak barrels and a further 8 months in bottle. The robust tannin texture makes it an elegant wine destined to give its best over the years.
