The history of the Castellare di Castellina winery takes us back in the 70s, in the Renaissance period of Italian wine, when Paolo Panerai brings together 4 farms (Castellare, Caselle, San Niccolò, Le Case) to produce high quality wine. On the one hand, respect for the traditions of Chianti with the use of only native vines, such as Sangiovese, locally called Sangioveto. On the other, the introduction of innovative methodologies involving the University Research Institutes of the Universities of Milan and Florence, in addition to the illustrious advice of winemakers of the caliber of Emile Peynaud, to whom the refinement in barriques is due. It was so, thanks to the tireless Mezzadri (typical name for local farmers), that a great winery known today for producing high quality wines was born.

The Chianti Classico by Castellare di Castellina retains the typical ruby red color of the wine produced in the heart of Chianti. The nose prevails the hints of red fruit, black currant, licorice and vanilla, while on the palate the initial sweetness gives way to a pleasant acidity. Long and persistent finish worthy of a great wine, which refines over 7 months in French oak barrels and another 7 in bottle.
