Fattoria La Braccesca, which extends over a total area of ​​508 hectares, is composed of two separate bodies: the historic core of the company is located in the Montepulciano area, with 103 hectares planted in the vineyard; the other, with 237 ha of vineyards, is located at the foot of the surrounding Cortona hills.

After de-stemming and crushing the must has undergone a cold pre-fermentative maceration, in order to enhance the typical fruity characteristics of the vine. The fermentation, which took place at temperatures not above 28 °, lasted about 10 days. The wine was then introduced for 70% in French second and third passage barriques, where the malolactic fermentation took place, and for the remaining part in steel.

Achelo has an intense purplish red color. On the nose, the hints of spices stand out in harmony with notes of red and blackcurrant. The palate is sweet, with soft tannins well integrated with the notes of licorice and red fruit, with a long and tasty finish.
