The San Marzano cellars represent a significant reality in Apulian viticulture, contributing to the affirmation of local wines in the national and international market. It all started in 1962 when 19 winemakers gathered to share resources and experiences to meet the challenge of the then constantly developing world of wine. Today the cooperative has 1200 members and 1500 hectares of vineyards in the hinterland of Taranto and Salento. The wines it produces testify to the great respect for its land and its traditions, but with the gaze always turned forward in knowing how to interpret technological development always in favor of the best sustainable quality. The attention to the preservation and enhancement of the old sapling vineyards, has led the production largely towards Primitivo and Negroamaro, while not neglecting other Apulian vines such as Malvasia Nera del Salento, Verdeca or the same international grapes Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot which have adapted well in Puglia.

For this wine the grapes were left in cryo maceration for a few hours, the next phase and the soft pressing of the marc followed by a static decantation, the palate is opulent, in its elegance, fresh, delicate and mineral.
