Braida, a name and a story, a revolution in the world of Barbera, bringing a vine considered by many not very noble into the Olympus of great vines. The history of Braida began way back in 1961 when Giacomo Bologna created "La Monella" with the first harvest, a sparkling Barbera which in 1969 was awarded the gold medal at the national competition of Douja d'Or wines in Asti and which gave the opportunity to make the product known and have the opportunity to exhibit "ad honorem" in other national competitions. But it was in 1982 that Giacomo Bologna, thanks to the intuitions and tests carried out on the vine both in the vineyard and in the cellar, created a unique product of its kind which until then was unthinkable: Bricco dell'Uccellone, a barbera with great fruit which ripens with use of barrique, never used for the vinification of Barbera. In that same period, other great wines of the cellar were born such as Bricco della Bigotta and Ai Suma. Over time, new vineyards and new projects are born with the aim of safeguarding the native vines by enhancing them and creating typical but highly refined wines. Now the winery is managed by Giacomo's children, Raffaella and Giuseppe who carry the company philosophy that has characterized Braida in all these years.

Unnamed vineyard signed by Braida. It boasts the denomination of Moscato d'Asti DOCG. The grape variety used is Moscato. The vineyards are grown on the Mango d'Alba territory. Winemaking involves a fermentation and maceration phase with the skins for a few hours in a horizontal press and subsequent pressing. The vinification takes place in white with second fermentation in an autoclave at a controlled temperature for 20 days at around 4°C. At the end of the fermentation, stabilization with refrigeration at -4°C, then microfiltration and subsequent bottling. Maturation follows with refinement in the bottle for a few weeks. Always fresh, slightly sweet, aromatic and light, Moscato d'Asti is one of the most interesting sparkling wines of the entire Peninsula. The Moscato D'Asti DOCG “Vigna Senza Nome” by Braida di Giacomo Bologna is a wine that stands out for its grace and finesse, vinified as per tradition in an autoclave and left to rest for a few months in the bottle. A sparkling wine suitable for every occasion, also worth trying for an aperitif of certain originality.
