Terra Libertà

Walter Massa is a special and brilliant winemaker who has been able to enhance all the wine production of Tortonese in south-eastern Piedmont, re-evaluating a whole territory and its traditions in a decisive way. Coming from an ancient family of winemakers known since the end of the 19th century, Walter Massa began his activity in the 1980s and he owed the revaluation of the Timorasso grape variety, an ancient indigenous variety, now produced by many local wineries that have benefited from the great work carried out by the recognized Piedmontese Master. Today in the Vigneti Massa farm, in addition to Tomorasso, the Barbera, Freisa, Croatina and Moscato vines are grown, giving life to excellent labels universally recognized and appreciated by the whole world of wine, the good one.

Terra Libertà rosé is obtained from Barbera, Freisa and Cortese grapes harvested in the first half of September and subjected to soft pressing. Vinification is in steel with spontaneous fermentation at controlled temperature and subsequent bottling with nitrogen in the absence of oxygen. The result is an intense salmon-colored wine with a fragrant bouquet of rose flowers, raspberry, wild strawberry and citrus notes. On the palate it's fresh with a mineral finish, and fruity notes in the middle that recall the olfactory sensations. A more white than red wine to be enjoyed in company with a good lake fish, a soup or a cold cuts platter.
