Lacrima

The history of the Colonnara cooperative brings us back to 1959, when a passionate group of 19 winemakers founded the winery in Cupramontana, on the Marche region hills where verdicchio reigns. The passion for the land and the obsessive care for the vineyard were the secret that led the winery today to count 110 members who cultivate 120 hectares of vineyards according to an eco-sustainable and nature-friendly approach.

The Lacrima di Morro d'Alba vine, from which the Colonnara wine of the same name is obtained, owes its name to the peculiarity of the berries in releasing drops of grape juice when fully ripe and settling on the ground. It comes from the hilly vineyards of the DOC Lacrima di Morro d'Alba area in the province of Ancona which extend over clayey soil. The red vinification takes place with maceration of the skins for about 10 days, from which a perfect wine is obtained, ideal with meat dishes, as well as tasted alone thanks to its great aromatic pleasantness.
