It was 1868 when Cavalier Vincenzo Comi from Milan bought Villa Travaglino giving life to what would become the Travaglino farm, the longest-lived winemaking reality in the Oltrepò Pavese, immersed in a unique landscape between woods, ancient farmhouses and 80 hectares of vineyards. . A history consolidated through 5 generations that have made it an innovative company but respectful of traditions and vines such as Pinot Nero and Riesling that transplanted on the hills of Calvignano have found their natural habitat. Today the Travaglino Estate has 400 hectares of property, of which 200 are woodland, 120 are arable land and 80 are vineyards, 12 farmhouses, an ancient village and an ancient inn with high-class rooms, where 14 labels of excellent wine are produced.

Montecérésino, named after the vineyard of the same name in the Travaglino Estate, is obtained from Pinot Noir grapes vinified in rosé with short cold maceration and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C, while the draft takes place in May following the harvest, assembling the best base wines. After that it is refined on the lees in the bottle for at least 24 months. Perfect with grilled fish, shellfish and fish carpaccio.
