The Colle Picchioni winery of the Di Mauro family is located in Lazio in Frattocchie di Marino in the Castelli Romani area. Founded in 1976 from the intuition of Paola Di Mauro and subsequently led by her son Armando, the winery is today a point of reference for lovers of quality wine and Valerio and Laia, with their young and enterprising spirit, have been able to renew the winery, maintaining unchanged respect for ancient traditions.

The name Donna Paola was born from a discussion of revenge that took place in the 60s between Mrs. Paola Di Mauro and an old farmer, who, annoyed by Paola's ambitious project to be able to create, from the vineyard she had just purchased, a production of excellent wines focused on the territory, the farmer laughed and mocked her. As a woman of character, she accepted the challenge and won it, transforming that land into something extraordinary, giving life to her winery.

Donna Paola is a tribute to the founder of the winery and to this extraordinary enterprise and is dedicated to the vision and tenacity of Mrs. Paola Di Mauro.

Medium-bodied wine with a bright and clear straw yellow color. The nose recalls white flowers, exotic fruit, golden apple, Mediterranean scrub with a slightly balsamic note on the finish. Good fullness in the mouth, good acidity and minerality. Serve at a temperature between 12 °C and 14 °C.
