Zacapa 23 El Alma is a blend of rums that have been stored in wooden barrels for between 6 and 24 years and received a finish in former bourbon barrels. Second release of the four "limited editions" of Zacapa 23.

Specification

The rum Zacapa Gran Reserva 23 El Alma derives only from cane sugar "Miel Virgen", unlike most rum based on molasses. Precisely this characteristic, together with the distillation dedicated to it, guarantees a vastness and uniqueness of aromas. The process begins with the fermentation of 5 days with a yeast extracted from pineapple and continues with aging (Solera) in oak barrels (previously used for Bourbon whiskey, Sherry and Perdo Ximenez wines), not before a combination of rum aged up to 15 years.
