Vie di Romans is a point of reference in the Friulian wine scene. The company, based in Mariano del Friuli, stands out for its rigorous selection of grapes, the application of cutting-edge winemaking techniques and the constant pursuit of quality. The production philosophy of Vie di Romans is based on a deep respect for the territory and for the Friulian winemaking traditions. The vineyards, located in hilly areas characterised by a cool and breezy climate, are cultivated with sustainable methods, favouring native varieties such as Friulano, Pinot Grigio and Merlot. The Friulian terroir, with its gravelly and marly soils, gives Vie di Romans wines a unique minerality and freshness. The production of Vie di Romans wines follows a rigorous protocol: The grapes are selected manually at the time of harvest, to guarantee the highest quality. The vinification takes place both in white and red, depending on the grape variety. For the whites, fermentation takes place in steel at low temperatures to preserve the fruity aromas. For the reds, traditional maceration and fermentation techniques are used. The wines are aged in steel, wood or in the bottle, depending on the type of wine and the desired style. Bottling takes place aseptically, to ensure maximum hygiene and the preservation of the organoleptic characteristics of the wine. Vie di Romans wines have received numerous national and international awards, thanks to their quality and distinctive style.

Vie di Romans Chardonnay is a white wine that is born in the heart of Friuli Isonzo, in a single vineyard in Mariano del Friuli. The vines, which are about 21 years old, grow on soils rich in iron oxides, at an altitude of 31 meters above sea level. After the harvest, the grapes are transformed into wine in steel containers and the wine is then aged in oak barrels for 8 months. Finally, the wine rests in the bottle for another 9 months before being released for sale.

The result is a golden yellow wine, with an intense aroma of ripe fruit, sweet spices and a touch of vanilla. In the mouth, the wine is rich and enveloping, with good acidity that makes it balanced and pleasant. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of dried fruit and vanilla. This wine pairs well with elaborate fish dishes, shellfish, white meats in sauce and mature cheeses. It is a wine that can be enjoyed immediately, but can also improve over time if stored in the cellar.
