Traminer Aromatico

Ronco del Gelso is a winery that was founded in 1988, the year in which the first 3000 bottles were bottled, up to 150,000 units today. We are in Friuli-Venezia Giulia in a flat area that extends between the Collio hills and the Adriatic Sea. The soil is lean and stony, ideal for growing vines, dry and warm, perfectly accumulating the heat of the sun and supporting the ideal maturation of the grapes. The vines that are well suited to these characteristics are Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Friulano and Malvasia Istriana among the white varieties and Merlot and Cabernet Franc among the reds. At the basis of the company's philosophy is respect for the peculiarities of the individual varieties, and the continuous search for the right aromatic breadth and elegant balance. This is how the Ronco del Gelso wines are born, which have deservedly carved out an important space for themselves in the Italian and international wine scene.

Traminer comes from the Cormons vineyards in the heart of Collio, where the composition of the soil, the exposure and the temperature range are all very favorable elements for this excellent wine. After the harvest, the grapes undergo a brief drying in the fruit room and are then pressed in whole bunches, without undergoing any maceration. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 19°C with selected yeasts, then the wine rests on its lees for at least 12 months in steel tanks before being bottled. An excellent white that respects the typical characteristics of the variety, maximizing the peculiarities of the terroir of origin.
