Since 1999, Ivan, with love and dedication, has established an intense and mutual bond with his land, in a fortunate terroir where ancient vines grow and where wine is not just a pleasure for the palate, but culture and millenary tradition of his land. The Friulian winery Rado Kocjančič develops the artisanal wine business in about 8 hectares of vineyards with unique characteristics of its kind, both for the geographical and environmental positioning, working exclusively with natural products in full harmony with traditionality such as horse manure and green manure for stimulating its fertility, and treating the vines with sulfur, copper and homeopathic preparations of medicinal herbs, producing wine of the highest quality, also receiving important awards and winning international awards. All the production of Kocjančič Rado is linked to native Friulian varieties, such as Vitovska, Istrian Malvasia, with centuries-old vines.

Malvasia Kocjančič Rado applies a working methodology in the native vineyard, trying to enrich the soil with natural methods for the well-being of the vines. The grapes are gently de-stemmed and left to macerate in contact with the skins for 48 hours, favoring spontaneous fermentation. The batonnage performed during the maturation and refinement of the wine, lasting 12 months in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks, is very important for its structure and to allow the noble lees to release their substances that will enrich the aromatic profile and complexity of the wine. All stages of wine production, from the vineyard to the bottle, are inspired by principles of absolute craftsmanship and naturalness.

Malvasia Kocjančič Rado has an intense straw yellow with golden reflections. The nose is elegant, fresh, floral and with a beautiful fragrance and lightness. On the palate a very balanced mineral flavor with great vivacity and energy
