Born in the prestigious vineyards of the Côte des Blancs, Delamotte Blanc de Blancs is a Champagne that crystallinely expresses the unique characteristics of the terroir. The chalky soils of this region give the wine a distinctive minerality, while the southern exposure of the vineyards favors a slow and harmonious maturation of the Chardonnay grapes. The result is a Champagne of great balance, with a vibrant freshness and an aromatic complexity that evolves over time, offering ever new sensations.

The Delamotte Champagne house was founded in 1760 in Reims by François Delamotte, who, starting from a small vineyard, over the years managed to spread his refined winemaking and agricultural techniques, passing down the art of Champagne to his descendants for over 260 years. François began the long family tradition with the creation of his cellar in the building located on the corner of rue Cérès and rue Marmousets, where his residence was located. The cellars were located under the building in question. The motto "Vive et me ama" (live and love me) was then adopted on the family coat of arms. From these words then developed the intent to want to "speak" the language of Champagne, the desire to make it become a truly universal language, accessible and universal to all, in continuous evolution and to be learned and taught, in turn. Later, with the help of their eldest son, Alexandre, father and son founded Delamotte Père & Fils (father and son). In 1798, with the dissolution of the Order of Malta, the second-born, Nicolas Louis Delamotte, then a knight on the island of Malta, returned to his homeland with the desire to undertake a policy of exporting the Delamotte brand to the largest cities in Europe and the world, hence the symbol of the eight-pointed cross on the coat of arms of the maison's bottles, a symbol of the Order. In the 20th century, Marie-Louise de Nonancourt gave a second birth to the company, as in 1927 she acquired vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, in the kingdom of Chardonnay. Her sons Charles and the youngest Bernard passed on the family tradition, the latter also taking over the management of the Laurent-Perrier house in 1949, which had been acquired by his mother during the two world wars. Finally, in 1988, Bernard succeeded in the family dream, with the acquisition of the prestigious and legendary Maison de Champagne Salon. It is clear, in short, that the art of making Champagne and teaching it is truly a Delamotte family.
All the Champagnes produced by Delamotte have a common characteristic, elegance, due to the conformation of the terrain of the Côte des Blancs, one of the most suitable areas of the Champagne region. This terroir provides balance to the powerful and airy Chardonnays, giving them unique characteristics.

Champagne Delamotte Blanc de Blancs is a monovarietal expression of Chardonnay coming exclusively from the Grand Crus of the Côte des Blancs. The vinification, carried out in stainless steel tanks, preserves the aromatic integrity of the grapes. The cuvée benefits from a reduced dosage, which enhances the minerality typical of the terroir. The latter, characterized by a chalky sensation, is obtained thanks to a long maturation on the lees (4-5 years) and a modest contribution of reserve wines. This rigorous and traditional production process gives Champagne Delamotte Blanc de Blancs an aromatic complexity and a structure that evolves over time.

Champagne Delamotte Blanc de Blancs has a bright straw yellow color, with faint greenish reflections that testify to the youth and freshness of the champagne. On the nose, a broad and complex bouquet, characterized by intense notes of white-fleshed fruit (golden apple, pear), citrus fruits (citron, grapefruit), white flowers (hawthorn, elderberry) and minerals (chalky, flint), enriched by delicate nuances of vanilla and brioche, resulting from aging on the yeasts. In the mouth, the attack is fresh and savory, with a nice acidic tension that perfectly balances the structure and body of the champagne. The taste is enveloping and persistent, with a return of the fruity and floral notes perceived on the nose, to which are added sensations of almond and yeast. The finish is long and mineral, with a pleasant almond aftertaste.

Its elegance and versatility make it an ideal companion for different consumption occasions. Excellent as an aperitif, alone or accompanied by light appetizers, it pairs perfectly with raw fish dishes (oysters, tuna tartare), shellfish (shrimp, scampi), grilled or baked fish, fresh and goat cheeses, delicate risottos and vegetable dishes.
