The Henri Giraud Champagne House has its roots in 1625 by the Hémart family in Aÿ, but the turning point came in 1900 when Léon Giraud, aware of the excellence of the soil, planted new cuttings to make up for the death of the vineyard due to phylloxera. Today the Maison is run by the twelfth generation with Claude Giraud the Maison's oenologist who shows all his skill already from the entry champagne of the selection, the Cuvée Esprit Nature. Today Champagne Henri Giraud is led by the twelfth generation of Hèmart-Giraud with Claude Giraud, a winemaker with studies in Burgundy, who has made Champagne Henri Giraud one of the best Champagne Houses in the world. The company today produces around 260 thousand bottles a year, 50% of which is the Esprit Nature cuvée. The big turning point took place in 2016, with the announcement to abandon the use of steel in the production phases and to prefer amphora or wood from the nearby Argonne forest which is 60 km from Reims. Henry Giraud is a Maison that produces important, structured and well-evolving champagnes, leaving freshness and pleasantness, immediacy and evolution.

L'Esprit Nature Henry Giraud has a bright pale yellow and a fine and persistent perlage, a complex nose of pear, peach and orange peel, bread crust and light pastry followed by spice and toasted notes. Creamy on the palate, pleasant and with a good structure aided by excellent acidity.
