Cuvée 741 is a fantastic champagne produced in France by Jacquesson, with a straw yellow color with light golden reflections, the nose is extremely complex, with hints of candied fruit, citrus, dried fruit and wonderful mineral nuances, on the palate it is round and soft, with a very fresh and persistent finish.
With sulphites.
Since 1798 this Maison takes its name from its founder. From the beginning, the trade was flourishing, thanks to the quality of the wines produced. Champagne Jacquesson was Napoleon's favorite and in 1810 the Emperor after his visit gave the highest recognition of the time for a commercial enterprise, a gold medal for "Beauté et la Richesse de ses Caves". Today the Maison Jacquesson & Fils is proud to follow in the footsteps of its glorious founders and focuses its efforts on the annual production of around 350,000 bottles, with non-industrial processing methods, dedicated to the highest quality standards. This old but small Dizy villa, on the outskirts of Aÿ, under the wise and ambitious guidance of the Chiquet brothers, is undoubtedly one of the great realities of the Champagne region. Despite the success, the production has never been inflated and the grape supply comes essentially from 28 hectares of vineyards, 11 of which are located in the Cote de Blancs, in Avize. A rigorous vinification, followed by optimal aging, induces the millennium cuvée to market based on their maturity rather than chronologically. A very low dosage (all the thousandths are processed as extra-brut) preserves the finesse and purity of the wine.
Jacquesson is a historical name when it comes to everything that goes around Champagne, for some even a myth. It all started with Memmie Jacquesson back in 1898 in Châlons-en-Champagne the Maison accompanied its wines, events and characters who entered through the main door of history. More than in the past, however, today's interest is turned to the unconventional spirit imprinted on the Domaine by the Chiquet family who have owned it since 1974. A unique concept is that of the famous Cuvée 7xx which, although technically a non-vintage, is decidedly different. from the classic concept of sans aneeée.
This very peculiar style is such starting from the choice of the name of the Cuvée, expressed with the production number registered in the bottling registers, starting with the Cuvée number 1 that the Maison decided to bottle to celebrate its first century of life in 1898 , up from arriving at no. 728 in 2000, the first signed by Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, and again at no. 744 the latest on the market to date.
