The glorious history of Maison Martell dates back to 1715 when a young Jean Martell decided to found it and start a business that would remain in the family for a long time. In a short time he consolidated his fame and success thanks also to his own original production method that bears his name. 300 years of history in which the great skills of master distillers have been preserved, and the knowledge refined and handed down with passion from generation to generation, successfully promoting the French Art de Vivre throughout the world.

Cognac Martell VSOP is a famous label of Maison Martell, which stands out for its balance, its softness and its elegance. The refinement takes place in oak barrels from the Troncais forest, while the selection of the grapes takes place in the crus of Borderies, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois, each of which contributes unique characteristics to the final blend. Double distillation in Charentais copper stills is a delicate process that requires great skill, to extract the heart of the spirit and preserve its aromas. The aging takes place in fine-grained French oak barrels, mainly from the Tronçais forest, the duration of aging, of at least 4 years, allows the Cognac to develop complexity and roundness. The art of the Martell Master Blender consists in assembling the different spirits, from different crus and vintages, to create a balanced and harmonious Cognac.

The Martell VSOP stands out for its aromas of ripe fruit, such as apricot, plum and peach, accompanied by notes of sweet spices, vanilla and oak wood. On the palate, it is a soft and velvety Cognac, with a perfect balance between sweetness and spices, the finish is long and persistent, with a fruity and slightly spicy aftertaste. To fully appreciate its qualities, Martell VSOP should be served at room temperature, in a tulip or balloon glass, it can be enjoyed neat, as a digestive, or used to prepare classic cocktails. Excellent pairing with dark chocolate or aged cheeses.
