In 1875 the Maglios arrived in Maglie (Le), where the company is still based today. It was the talent and tenacity of Antonio, who opened an inn with a change of horses, that laid the foundations of a brand that has survived the decades, fashions, wars, and social changes. To follow the customs of the time, Giuseppe, Antonio's son, opened a café with an attached confectionery workshop in the city center. A worthy heir to such an enterprising father was Dante, who in the early twentieth century not only combined his main business with that of banquets and home receptions, but also started the production of artisanal liqueurs. As for the many specialties based on almond paste, Dante found in chocolate, used for coating, a precious ally in prolonging their conservation. In the 1960s, his son Vincenzo found fertile ground to intensify the production of chocolate and pastries: an innovative spirit, he invented recipes, enriched the confectionery production and decided to identify the company with the brand with the carriage. Currently, at the head of the Maglio group are Maurizio and Massimo, who have inherited an invaluable heritage of values ​​and knowledge and the responsibility of making Maglio live, in the present and in the future, in Italy and abroad.
