Pecorino from the Castello di Semivicoli line by Masciarelli is a fresh white that is pleasantly left to drink. It's captivating starting from the straw yellow color with greenish reflections, and a broad and varied aroma that ranges from yellow-fleshed fruit to typically Mediterranean spices and floral notes. On the palate it's savory, at times scratchy with a long and persistent finish.

The Masciarelli winery is a creation of Gianni Masciarelli when in 1981 he founded his business by initiating a process of valorisation and affirmation of the then little structured Abruzzo wine production. Today it's a reference in the Italian wine world from its headquarters in San Martino sulla Marrucina in the province of Chieti, counting vineyards owned in all the provinces of Abruzzo. The wine production has 18 labels divided into 5 main lines: Classic Line, Gianni Masciarelli, Villa Gemma, Marina Cvetic and Castello di Semivicoli. The latter, a baronial palace of the 17th century, has undergone a conservative restoration that has made it a relais de charme among the vineyards as far as the eye can see in a wonderful territory, where tradition, innovation and sustainability are pursued with commitment and self-denial.

The Pecorino Castello di Semivicoli by the Masciarelli winery is a wine that comes from the hilly land of the Masciarelli estate, whose rich qualities are immediately recognizable in its fragrance and flavor. The grapes are harvested manually and vinified according to the 14-hour cryomaceration, sent to soft pressing followed by the static decanting of the must and fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The refinement is always carried out in steel where the wine rests a few months before being bottled and marketed.
