Aged in the traditional way in American Bourbon barrels, this whiskey is aged below, for about 30 months in oak barrels that previously contained Sauternes Premier Cru Supérieur. During this second phase of aging the whiskey interacts with the oak to achieve different flavors and additional flavors characteristic of Sauternes barrels.
This Tawny Port Wood Finish is aged 15 years, not cold-filtered, bottled without corrections color to the alcohol content of 46% vol. Aged in traditional barrels of Bourbon American way, this whiskey is then "finished" in barrels of aged Tawny Port, from the region of the Douro, in the north of Portugal.
